Our Founders
Brothers Apoorv and Shivam Agarwal grew up inside their family's rug business in a world of looms, textures and global craftsmanship. What began as a childhood fascination slowly developed into a deep understanding of this industry.
With House of Knots, they evolved a legacy B2B practice into a contemporary, design-led brand that speaks to a new India. Their vision: to bring modern sensibility, experimentation, and storytelling to a craft they have known all their lives.
Our Philosophy
With over 20 years of manufacturing mastery, every House of Knots rug is made in-house using high-precision techniques, clean finishing, and premium materials, from New Zealand wool and bamboo silk, to botanical silk and alpaca blends.
We design modern rugs — sharp, textural, minimal, and contemporary. Our work avoids mass-market patterns and overtly traditional motifs, choosing instead a refined simplicity that elevates every space.
One of our strongest differentiators. We work with architects, artists, and designers whose sensibilities align with ours: detail-driven, culturally fluid, and globally aware. These collections bring fresh perspectives to Indian craft.
